The BIM integration is an advanced module of Infor EAM, provided and supported by Infor and fully integrated into Infor EAM solution: this means that, with reference to the software, OpenCAD source code is embedded into Infor EAM Application server and OpenCAD data is stored within the current Infor EAM database (Oracle or MS SQL Server). The data from the BIM model is extracted into Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) format and you can then import the data into Infor EAM by using a cloud-free plugin that elaborates the IFC model to provide JSON and WexBIM files. These files are uploaded into the system as EAM documents and therefore in compliance with Infor security policies.

The advantages of integrating BIM technology with asset management systems, in which Infor EAM is defined as the leader, are not only the easier and faster handover phase. The visualization of the work built through an immersive and engaging 3D interface makes perceptible a series of elements and the physical and functional relationships between the elements themselves, that had never been possible before. This interface allows, for example, to “see” elements that are within the structures, allowing you to make better decisions when planning general remedial measures or inspection events.
